All social studies classes will be working on their projects due June 8th. Some classes will not meet this week due to spring and sports assemblies and DCAS math testing.

Week of May 24, 2010
All students will be focusing on reviewing the skills learned throughout the year starting this week. This review period will last for the next few weeks so we can prepare for a math final on the 11th of June. Any student that already knows they will not be in school on June 11 may take it before they leave for the summer.
All grades are due by June 14th.

All classes are working on Latin America this week. We will finish the geography of latin america (chapter 1) this week.
MATH
All classes are starting probabilities this week on page 547. Homework will be assigned to each class this week, please check your child's agenda book for the night his/her class has been assigned homework.
HOMEROOM REMINDERS
Permission slips and money for Jungle Jim trip on June 7th is due this Friday, May 21-no exceptions.
The next gathering is May 28
June book order forms are in and all orders need to be received by June 1.
Thursday folders are due back on Friday, May 21
Progress Reports come home on Wednesday, May 19th.

Week of May 10, 2010
We are finally through the Ancient Worlds and will be starting Latin America on Tuesday. Monday is the chapter 7 test for Rome and students will turn in their books.
The red Latin America book will be kept in the class room instead of having students ravel around with them.
Tuesday we will start the book with a lesson about the geography of Latin America. Wednesday students will complete the atlas activity and then we will begin chapter 1.

This week will be spent on reviewing concepts taught from chapters 1-9 in all Math classes.
Cummulative review test will be on Friday, May 14.
Studying chapters 1-9 and practicing problems in those chapters should be done each night to prepare for the test.

All classes are finishing Ancient Rome this week. All classes will review on Wednesday and Thursday this week, taking the chapter test on Friday, May 7.
